Sarah Gunderson M.S.H.I., RN, NI-BC

Sarah Gunderson is a senior clinical consultant in Segal’s Austin office. Her experience focuses on benefit design and implementation for mental health and substance use, health care informatics, and health analytics. Gunderson’s nursing experience ranges from acute and nonacute settings to managed care. Earlier in her career, she worked in inpatient psychiatric nursing and leadership. With her background in clinical informatics, Gunderson has coded and designed leadership dashboards to monitor population health, member engagement in case management, and high-risk members identified through predictive analytics. She regularly speaks at conferences such as those organized by NLMC, LIUNA, and the International Foundation. She has authored numerous articles. Gunderson received her master of science degree in health informatics from the University of Illinois at Chicago and her bachelor’s degree in nursing from St. Olaf College. She is board certified in informatics nursing.
