Robert Projansky
Robert M. Projansky is a partner at Proskauer Rose LLP in its employee benefits and executive compensation law group as well as a member of Proskauer’s governing executive committee. His practice covers the full spectrum of employee benefit issues, including advising clients regarding all aspects of pension and welfare plan administration, tax qualification, defined benefit plan funding, fiduciary responsibility, participant communication and government investigatory matters. Projansky also has addressed a myriad of issues related to complex plan investments, including negotiation of separately managed and collective investment vehicles for both traditional and alternative investments. He has been described by Chambers USA as “incredibly smart and creative” and “a really effective, zealous advocate, who adroitly communicates complicated ERISA matters to clients in understandable language and well-timed levity.” He is a widely sought-after speaker and author on topics related to employee benefits, fiduciary issues, cybersecurity and government investigations. Projansky served for six years as a Member of the International Foundation Professionals Committee, currently serves on the International Foundation Board and has been a frequent presenter at International Foundation conferences. He is a fellow of the American College of Employee Benefits Counsel, is a member of the New York State Bar, and is admitted to practice in the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York. Projansky received a B.A. degree from Binghamton University and a J.D. degree from New York University School of Law.
